Timed so that it’ll hit hardest in 2029, when Democrats are more likely to control the Presidency. So that Republicans can run in the 2030 midterms on the Democrats not doing enough and we need to cut taxes, cause the dummies think they mean their taxes. I’ve been watching this show for 40 goddamn years.

>Economists have been predicting or warning about a recession every single year for the past eight years, and they were only right once – kinda.
The economists always make predictions, but the chances of recession or rain in a weather forecast are as predictable as meteorologists. The U.S. economy is huge, and healthcare is one of the largest employment sectors in the country. It’s a diverse economy that doesn’t rely on one particular industry.

Stagflation is far more likely. We have companies firing works in the 10’s of thousands. Prices were up even before the Iran (Epstein) War. And those prices will not come down even if we stopped attacking Iran today.
Once stagflation sets in; we are in for a long ride folks!

Another recession will absolutely happen — that’s the nature of economic cycles.
But as the old joke goes, economists have predicted 20 out of the last 10 recessions.

I work in music production and we feel like the canary in the coal mine. Suddenly budgets cut by 50 or 75% and suddenly projects are on hold. A whole bunch of middle class music professionals, myself included, are thrust into a space where we can’t predict when work returns. And then a couple weeks later Establishment Media runs with “A recession is guaranteed. But when?”
