Chocolate chips $7 for 350g today at Superstore. Broken milk chocolate bunnies 2 for $7. 375g each.

They just need a good chopping up on a cutting board and I can use them instead of chocolate chips next time I name cookies.

And the chocolate quality is at least as good, if not better, IMO.

Or, you can wait until after Easter and buy what's left on the discount rack. Either way, it's good value per gram.

Hey thank you! I was just looking for frugal baking hacks yesterday. I will definitely do this after the holiday. Little malted milk egg cookies in my future maybe?

    2. DollarTree had leftover Easter chocolate eggs, 8 ounces for 50¢! I bought all 40 bags. Unwrapping the foil was was a labor of love to freeze about half for baking. The expiration date was over a year away, so I gave away about 15 bags at Halloween. We don’t get many trick or treaters in our rural village. It was fun seeing the expressions when I handed them a bag with a cheery “Happy Easter!”.

Alas, DollarTree and Walgreens got better inventory control now so all holiday candies are sold out before the holidays.
