Venture X & Chase Sapphire Preffered

Should venture X be used as a catch-all and chase sapphire preferred be used for dining ? I just got approved for venture X and trying to figure out how to best use these cards to maximize my miles/points.

I also have Chase freedom unlimited that I’ve been using in combination with the preferred.
