Has anyone had to file a claim for trip interruption or cancellation insurance for summer camp fees?
We're considering opening a Chase card for a child's summer camp fees and wondering whether the trip insurance would be sufficient to cover a refund of fees if an illness/injury cut short their camp experience.
The camp recommends 3rd party travel insurance, but it seems like the credit card coverage would be sufficient.

Used my chase sapphire for my nephew’s camp last year and the trip protection was actually decent when he broke his wrist on day 3. Had to submit medical records and camp documentation but got about 70% back which was way better than nothing
The key thing is reading the fine print cause some cards don’t consider camps as “travel” even though you’re literally paying for accommodation and activities
