I am not a huge fan of ham, but I will be receiving a free ham as part of an Easter promotion for spending the appropriate amount in the appropriate amount of time. I am not a picky eater, just ham is not my favorite meat. I need some fun recipes that could use this ham. What do people typically do with these hams besides slicing them for Easter? I was thinking split pea soup, ham and beans, I am not sure. I am open to all suggestions.
What should I do with the free ham from the grocery store?

Ham sandwiches are fabulous.
Pork/ham fried rice
Eggs with Han that’s been browned in the pan is excellent.
If it’s not your thing consider donating it to the food bank! Ours also receives cuts of beef/pork that folks don’t want after butchering a whole animal.
Donate it to someone who needs it.
Egg bites in a muffin tin. Portioned and freeze great. Same with breakfast burritos or ham and cheese sandwiches. Chicken cordon bleu is another option
I make egg and ham English muffin sandwiches. Or on a croissant. Or put it on pizza.
I lay the sliced ham out on a cookie sheet to freeze then move the frozen ham pucks to a bag with parchment paper between them to use in sandwiches and on pizza as I need them.
Chop it up and add to omelette, salad, make deviled ham
I don’t dine on swine, but it is none of my business if others do. I am calling the food bank and ask if they want it. If not, as I don’t know if they have a refrigerator, I can offer it to those in line on Monday at the food bank.
You cook it once to get one nice meal out of it (with scalloped potatoes and a side veggie, and served with mustard for example), and then you slice it and portion it in, say, 1/2 lb that you bag in sandwich bags and then double bag in a large freezer bag with the date on it. After that, anything you make for which a salty protein would be welcome can use a 1/2 lb bag of ham. In my house, we will use it for fried rice, omelets, quiches, sandwiches, breakfast bakes, etc. Edit… didn’t mention to keep the extra bagged ham in the freezer.
Split pea soup
Lima beans
Ham salad?
Scalloped potatoes with ham leftovers is our favorite option. But seriously, cook it and freeze the leftovers in small containers
Quiche. If you don’t to make a full size quiche, you can cut up frozen puff pastry sheets and make mini quiche using a muffin tray.
Go simple and make a split pea soup, No effort and its amazing. The protein is the only expensive part of it.
It would freeze fine if you want to use the ideas in this thread, but don’t want to eat them every day for a week.
ham, green bean, and potato soup, omelettes, and ham sandwiches are what I do with my leftover ham from holidays.
