Anyone here have the U.S. Bank Shield Visa?
I've had a Lowe's cart loaded for months now for a big home improvement project, I was expecting to use my MyLowes Reward card and their no interest 18 month financing on it. Only to discover last week in checkout that they only have a 6 month option… and then realized that the 12 and 18 month tiers ended back in November, despite the details page staying live since then and Google referring me to it every time I looked it up to check the deal.
This is totally my bad for not reading the fine print.
Anyway… I decided to look at a new credit card that might have a similar extended payment option, and transfer the Lowes debt to it. The best deal I've found is U.S. Bank Shield Visa and it's 0% APR for 21 months.
I know most cards only offer incentives like this for Balance Transfers, but this card says this in the footnote
"The 0% introductory APR applies to purchases and is valid for the first 21 billing cycles"
Has anyone that's taken advantage of this cards introductory offer know if the 0% APR on the U.S. Bank Shield Visa applies to new purchases made with the card?
Obviously I'd much rather just use the card directly to avoid the transfer fee, but I will gladly pay that extra to be able to stretch out payments… figure it never hurts to ask.
U.S. Bank Shield Visa – Does 0% APR apply only to Balance Transfers or does it also include purchases?
