It’s toast. We’d have to get an FDR type of leader to actually fix affordability. The chances of that, without a Great Depression occurring, seem very low given almost all media is controlled by billionaires.

It’ll be the same as it always is.
Voters will give dems one term to fix it. Dems will need to do things that are easier to criticize, especially in today’s media environment. Increase revenue/taxes, show plans on how to rebuild things, stand up agencies that don’t have immediate impact but are more long term, etc. After 1 term, voters will return the keys back to R’s who will revert to two santa’s strategy, lowering taxes, cutting social programs, etc… easier to tear down then it is to build up. As trump has showed, you don’t even need to ask for permission or have a plan, just do it, and if you lose in court later, it’s too late for anyone to do anything about it anyway (example: PBS, white house east wing…).

No one is going to fix it cause neither party will do what’s necessary to fix the debt.

Just one, if it’s Democratic and has majorities in the House and Senate. Then they can fix the tax code to begin the end of income inequality and reduce the deficit. Restore the Fairness Doctrine in all media to end the divisive lies and restore an electorate with all sides having the facts. Revise the Civil Service Code so a President can only fire those he has appointed and reorganizations can only be accomplished with the prior consent of the Senate. Then in the second month….

It’s fun to think that Americans are still going to be able to change the government to anything other than what it is right now.
Americans don’t do shit when their government bends them over and fucks them in the ass.

You just realized your tires are no longer on the pavement and your speeding car is beginning to tilt. Too early to think about the repair bill.

If Democrats have the balls (and Reps and Senate), they would immediately set up a Corruption investigation into the Trump admin and go super hard and super fast and prosecute and CONVICT as many of these lawbreakers as possible. Biden f’ed that up last time by trying to go back to “normal” when we were way past that. We need to go hard– harder than Trump. Of course we would follow the law, but they have CLEARLY broken so many laws along the way, it’s just a matter of enforcing those laws. If we don’t, not much will change.

Depends how much appetite the Dems have to use the new powers Trump has grabbed for the presidency. So never?

What party? One will have it fixed in two to 3 terms unhindered if all went well. The other party? No fixing at all they actually want this and worse cause Jesus. Why would they fix it at all? They love it it like a theatrical play from their favorite book and they are the main characters and heroes all.

The country will most likely go bankrupt given recently, the stock market has been propping up the economy while jobs created by the private sector has been on a decline.
Then with stagnant wages, eventually, there will be mostly poor people, a few rich, and a few middle class.
The people are what drive an economy.
The government is betting on Ai to save them, but yeah, Ai isn’t going to generate money. At least not enough to mimic how people used to drive the economy.

Bush fucked it up the worst in 70 years and Obama fixed it his 2 terms.
So the worst real estate bubble in history was fixed in 4-6 years. That is what I am thinking. But Obama was good at his job how long for a mid pres to fix it.
