Nothing new !!

Trump is on prime time again, but this isn’t a new plan, it’s a rerun. Same lines, same threats, same victory laps. No fresh strategy on Iran, no real clarity on NATO, no answers on how any of this actually ends—just recycled talking points dressed up as a historic address. This speech feels more like a loop than a turning point.

    1. He didn’t show up with a tight, compelling argument for his past decisions and a concise and clear plan for the future? I’m shocked.

Jesus Christ how much cocaine did they give him? Lol I thought I had the broadcast on 3x speed.

    4. that was a complete waste of time, nothing of value with any ounce of intelligence was said

    5. Two things stood out to me in this speech. First, he said that countries affected by disruptions in oil supply should buy oil from the US. That is notable because there has been [speculation](https://www.reddit.com/r/oil/comments/1s74rf8/is_hormuz_being_kept_unstable_to_redirect_global/) that this conflict is being used/extended, at least in part, to increase American energy sales. Second, he appeared to encourage regional states to defend their interests in the Strait of Hormuz by getting involved and “taking the strait.” This could suggest either that the US is signalling that it does not intend to take a larger role in reopening the waterway, or that it’s calling on regional countries to help do so. That is especially significant given Iran’s warning that any GCC involvement would escalate the situation, and the Houthis’ [warning](https://www.timesofisrael.com/yemens-houthis-threaten-potential-closure-of-key-red-sea-strait-if-gulf-states-join-war/) that they could respond by closing the Bab el-Mandab.

Ultimately, the situation has to be judged by actions rather than rhetoric. American ground forces have already been deployed to the region, which makes some form of troop involvement increasingly likely. That is difficult to dismiss as a bluff, especially since Iran has shown no sign of backing down despite weeks of US military buildup, pressure and posturing before the war began.

Confirmed another 2-3 weeks where his going to hit them hard. And if no deal is made with the new regime, he’ll go after the power plants.

Oil didn’t like the message and just spiked 5%

    7. God – why is it that in every picture of him, his mouth looks like a cat’s butthole?

He said nothing new. Just reiterated the same points he has for a month.

He has gotten us into a situation that has no good outcome. It’s all different shades of awful.

He does not look ok at all. He will not survive end of year. His hart is weak, really. Without makeup he would look like a chalk.

    13. Same old same old. Sounded like they woke him up,threw a suit on him, wheeled him up to the podium and said read the teleprompter then you can have some hot coco and cookies.

    14. Between the lines, he said the war in Iran is gonna take a few years and hundreds of billions of dollars

    15. People that left st the end of that speech feeling reassured are crazy hillbillies. That’s my take.
