I'm a college student and currently have the Capital One QuicksilverOne credit card and Chase Freedom Flex. My credit score is around 720, and I’m looking for advice on a new credit card, preferably a Visa since it would be nice to earn rewards on the occasions I shop at Costco or get gas there.

I do not travel much right now because I’m still in school, but I plan to travel more after I graduate in about a year. Most of my spending currently is on online purchases, food, and gas.

Some of the cards I’ve been considering are the Wells Fargo Active Cash Card, Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card, Chase Sapphire Preferred Card, Robinhood Gold Card, and Apple Card.

I have not really considered some other cashback or rewards cards, such as the Citi Double Cash Card or Capital One Savor Rewards, because they are Mastercards and/or I may product change to one of them in the future.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Ger a flat rate % cashback Visa card with no AF and no FTF from Fidelity or SDFCU. For your spending categories Amex Blue Cash Everyday will be a good fit with 3% cashback on online spending, grocery and gas.

Go for fidelity Visa, you’re a college student, i don’t think you’ll be able to hit the spend requirement for the Sapphire Preferred, apple card is fine but it is a mastercard. Robinhood gold is okay but good luck getting off the waitlist.
