Is it possible to use the points as “after the fact” travel purchases, like Southwest flights charged to the card get nullified like some cards?
If not, i feel like Chase Travel, The Edit, Dining choices, all that greatly confines your options, it doesn’t open them up.
So it at the very least does a dollar redemption correct on the points?
And at bare minimum redemption, the reserve card is $795 but if you spend the $6k to get the 125k bonus points, you’re looking a $1,310, correct?
And with the preferred card, annual fee is $95 but but if you spend the $5k to get the 75k intro bonus points, that’s $800?
(And goes without saying but, with the exception of perhaps redeeming the points to your bank account to pay another card, all the hotels/flights/uber and dining would have to be through that specific card?)

I have a question (that I’ve found others have answered to an extent) about chase sapphire reserve & preferred

You can redeem points for 1 cpp cash. That’s obviously more flexible than something like Capital One’s purchase eraser, and it can be used to essentially do the same thing. It’s not the best way to use points, but it’s an option even though there are much better options.
