# AXIOM–ADV Reference Framework
## AXIOM Core v1.3 (Latest)
AXIOM is a system-agnostic integrity specification for ensuring that state, time, and interpretation remain structurally consistent and fully traceable.
This version introduces:
– 9 structural primitives
– 9 audit-checkable compliance tests
– Version-bound interpretation (semantic drift protection)
– Formal threat taxonomy and attack scenarios

## What AXIOM Is
AXIOM is a **system-agnostic integrity specification**.
It defines the structural guarantees required for any system whose state evolves over time:
– Once a state is settled, it cannot be altered
– All changes occur through forward-linked transitions
– Event ordering cannot be manipulated
– Contradictions must be rejected or made explicit
– Interpretation is versioned and traceable
AXIOM does **not** determine truth, correctness, or legitimacy.
It guarantees that whatever is recorded remains structurally consistent and fully traceable over time.
—
## What AXIOM Is Not
AXIOM is **not**:
– A cryptocurrency
– A protocol specification
– A governance framework
– A performance-optimized system
– A claim about what *should* be built
AXIOM makes **no guarantees** about:
– Liveness
– Fairness
– Efficiency
– Incentives
– Adoption
– Real-world security
All such properties belong to higher-layer systems.
—
## AXIOM Core Concept
AXIOM enforces a forward-only integrity loop:
**State → Settlement → Interpretation → Correction**
Corrections never rewrite the past.
They produce new states that explicitly reference prior ones.
—
## ADV (AXIOM Distance Vector)
ADV is a structured classification framework for describing how real-world systems deviate from AXIOM.
While AXIOM defines the **ideal structural integrity model**,
ADV defines the **language of deviation**.

## Positioning
AXIOM serves as a **reference point for structural integrity** in evolving systems.
It plays a role similar to:
– A Turing Machine in computation
– Absolute zero in thermodynamics
It is a **limit model**, not an implementation.
