I have an iPhone 14 (I have had it for a few years now) which is not shattered (thankfully), still works great, except for a buggy OS. It’s still fast and I don’t really do much to warrant a new phone. I have the money to get a new one, but I feel like that might be a pretty bad idea because of the recession and that money could easily go to a rainy day fund or something. The main reason why I wanted something new is because I wanted to try another OS (not regular Android, but a fork.
Please, please deinfluence me from wanting a new phone

In this sub you are going to use that phone till it doesnt work anymore or is to slow
I’ve got a phone from 2018 looking to see if I can last till 2028 before I change it.
i only upgraded my iphone 11 to a used 16e because i wanted to have usb c devices
In the nicest way, stop being an idiot?
Ad that to stocks and shares.
You dont need a new phone they need you to want one.
Either you can profit from other people falling for the consumeri competiont OR you can be my profit.
So doesn’t bother me! Either you can save yourself money or make me money
If Apple is buggy for you (newer iOS has been), an Android fork is going to be MORE buggy. If you do want to upgrade, only do so if your phone carrier has a good trade in deal.
>money could easily go to a rainy day fund or something.
empty the money into that before impulse takes over

do the above and still just buy a cheap refurbished pixel (and try calyxos, grapheneos, etc…)
