I currently have a Amex Gold that i use for everything. I eat out for lunch every day so i want to start tracking how much i actually spend on food and was wondering which card has the best benefits on dining, restaurants and fast food? This way i can get the most out of it

Which card is best for food?

The AmEx Gold is already supposed to be used mostly for groceries and dining. It’s great at those with a 4x points earn rate, and terrible for general spending at 1x

If you use points effectively, then Amex Gold is very good for what you want–that’s where I put my dining spend. If you don’t use your points effectively, earning 4x is pretty useless for you. If you spend under $500/month, Citi Custom Cash would get you 5% back on your restaurants. You could still get that and stop after you reach $500 too.

I like the Robinhood Gold. If you use them as a brokerage its a great catch-all card.

    4. None of my cards taste very good. To be fair, the last time I tasted one, it was many years ago when I was using it to scrape some ice off my windshield. I put it in my mouth momentarily while I put some gloves on, then it occurred to me how gross what I was doing was.

When I eat out, I use my BofA Premium Rewards Elite card. It and my platinum honors status get me 3.5X back on dining and travel, and I redeem for cash back because I don’t like booking through portals and I like being able to invest my cash back. Been doing this for 8 years now and I have almost $22K in cash back and investment earnings on that cash back.
