Just to give some clarification, I am a marine who got station in Okinawa. I am at JRC currently and I get to my unit Wednesday. I was just wondering how long is the process of getting a license and then a car in Okinawa. Because I am trying to see my friends who are also in Okinawa, but they don’t have cars. I would like to get a car as fast as possible and try to explore the island rather than just sit at the barracks all day if you have any tips on what I should do or how long it would take to get it or any tips in general for a Marine who’s in Okinawa please write it below. Btw I don drink, smoke or do any “bad” things.
