Hello,
We are looking for an egg that tastes like one, we buy our groceries in Walmart because it is cheaper. We buy some organic (meat mostly) but egg? We tried costco’s egg and oh my god! It is delicious and tastes like the egg that I grew up on.
The eggs that we buy is the 60ct from Walmart or the one in the styrofoam but nothing beats the egg from costco however it is too far from us and we cannot afford to always make trips there lol
Thank you.
Help me find an egg that tastes like egg!

The most eggy egg I tasted was duck egg. I don’t think those are more cost effective than chicken eggs though.
Find a local farmer or someone with chickens
I can’t tell the difference between Costco eggs and cheap grocery store eggs. Might be a placebo effect.
Costco hires better chickens.
Go to an Amish farm or find a a person who does not wash their eggs.
All eggs taste like egg to me, egg flavor will be very regional even for costco
Befriend someone with chickens.
My Walmart has a range of eggs at varying price points. They usually have an organic option, or at least mine does.
Prices seem to fluctuate a lot and lately I think they’re too high but sometimes I buy the free range eggs at Aldi.
Most of the people in my area who sell farm fresh eggs ask market price and some higher but occasionally I can find a reasonable price depending on who is selling them. So, you can reach out in your community and find out if that’s a viable option for you.
