Bottom line is, I'm unsure of whether to pull the trigger on another attempt at the Atmos Summit with its current 100k bonus.

To add context: Before this year, my credit reports were all mixed up and wrong, which led to a full two weeks of cleaning those up and making sure I wasn't being denied due to verification issues, which happened when I tried to get the Apple Card (of all).

This effort paid off when Capital One approved me for the VentureX just over a month ago, which is my first premium main account and only my second main card, after being an AU on another Venture card.

Before that, I received a denial from BofA last September for the Atmos Summit stating the lack of a relationship with them. Which isn't anything I could help. Citi (who I bank with and have a Custom Cash from) denied me a Strata Premier due to insufficient credit history.

Since then, BofA's added the pre-approval tool which I used to re-check if anything has improved for me.

Lo and behold, I now am pre-approved! I'm just not sure what prompted this, if my improved credit lines did this or they're not considering the lack of a banking relationship I have with them.

I know C1's pretty risk-taking when it comes to approvals, so I didn't have much of a hesitation to pull the trigger for the VX after pre-approval, but with BofA I'm more distrusting.

My credit scores have almost always been 750+, and currently my EQ is 760+, and TU is around the 780-800 mark, and EX was around the same areas as the former.

    Thanks!
