      Guess I get to be first this time.

      I was talking to a peer of mine on a sister team about our careers and they were surprised to learn I’m one level below what they thought I was. They thought I was a senior engineer but I’m still only a mid-level. This seems to happen surprisingly often, I think I’ve surprised 12 or 13 people in my org by now over the past year and a half.

      Honestly I’m not sure if I should be flattered or annoyed. If the market were any better I probably would have left by now.
