Physical Oil in Europe is higher than 2022 prices now; up to $140-150 at the moment and bids are not getting met. Oil is literally drying up in terms of immediate availability in Europe; finally starting to see war’s impact reach the physical market.
Financial markets are ignoring it and assuming war ends soon and true price is $30 less by next month on the forward contract.
At some point in the next week or two do we get a super spike up to $200-ish due to lack of physical oil in Europe that triggers a wider market meltdown? That’s really the biggest pain point and biggest bear case I can think of…
Of course maybe Trump TACOs the whole war and it does end today or this week or next.

I had been recovering steadily from -$20k and I was already at -$17.5k when I saw the $QQQ $585 put creep up from $1.5 to $3. I had “jokingly” put an order for $18k at $1.2 but then saw this pump up continuously. Raised to $2: nothing, it went to $2.5. Raised to $2.75: it went to $3.25. Finally I got tired and bought 10 contracts at *market value*.
Filled at $3.48. Top of the day was $3.50 milliseconds later. I panic sold at $2.98. Lost $500. What should have been a positive day became a deep negative day.
