I’m trying to figure out where I actually have gaps in my current setup and what card makes the most sense next, especially with some big spend coming up.
I originally picked up the CSP mainly for Hyatt transfers (I value hotel redemptions more than flights), and I’m in a Delta hub so Amex MR → Delta is still useful when needed. But now I’m reevaluating everything more holistically.
I’m planning to downgrade my Amex Platinum later this year. So I want to understand:
– Where do I actually have holes?
– Is there a no-brainer card I’m missing?
– What’s the best next SUB given my setup?
I’ve been looking at options like Wells Fargo Autograph, Citi Strata Premier, or Capital One Venture Rewards (especially with the $250 travel credit right now), but I’m not sure if any of those actually add meaningful value vs. just grabbing another free card.
- Current cards
– Amex Blue Cash Everyday
– Amex Amazon Business Prime
– Amex Platinum (will downgrade/cancel later this year)
– Chase Sapphire Preferred
– Chase Freedom Unlimited
– Chase Freedom Flex
– Chase Ink Business Unlimited
– Chase Amazon Prime Visa
– Discover It Cashback
– Wells Fargo Active Cash
– Bank of America Customized Cash
2. Profile
– FICO: ~800
– Oldest account: 15 years
– Chase 5/24: 4/24
– Income: ~$200k
– Open to business cards: Yes
3. Average monthly spend
– Dining: ~$300
– Groceries: ~$200
– Gas: ~$50
– Travel: ~$25
– Other: ~$100
4. Cards I’m considering
– Capital One Venture Rewards
– Citi Strata Premier
– Wells Fargo Autograph
– Robinhood Gold Card (3% catch-all, no SUB)
Where are the gaps in my setup? Looking for next SUB + overall strategy
