I do something similar: I put my remaining caviar into my moisturizer bottles and just squirt them right into my mouth. Time frugality.

I do this! I get a few days worth of use out of it.

Caviar isn’t necessarily frugal but like you do you. Frugality is at its core not spending mindlessly. If Caviar brings you happiness and you consume in moderation that’s frugal enough. Reusing containers is more zero-waste which is good! And saving product is always both 🙂

this feels like a weird flex….

Depends on the product. If it is something that is will lose effectiveness when exposed to light or air then an open jar is a bad idea.

Jars. Not necessarily caviar. Weird flex

instead of getting more utensils dirty to scoop out and store, I simply cut the tube in half and scoop out with my fingers on each use.
Also I don’t have a caviar jar lmao

This is extra work. Just cut the tube in the middle, use what you need and slide the top part over the bottom so it doesn’t dry up.

I assumed this was in a backpacking group and was so confused because that’s so much heavier than other alternatives 😂 – but aside from it being an unnecessarily weird choice to reuse caviar jars: a) you couldn’t convince me there wouldn’t be residual fish oil in your body lotion, b) caviar and frugal feel objectively incongruous, sure, I guess?
I just cut the bottles and scoop the rest into the next bottle or use it.

I like this (and caviar 😋)! Great way to show that you no need to be short on resources to be frugal. Beautiful caviar jar!
You ruffled some feathers in this group with this post 🤭. I find it amusing 😄. Well done!
