A week into the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the price of oil has soared.
US benchmark crude oil is at a seven-year high of nearly $110 per barrel.
This comes despite additional supply being released by the United States and other International Energy Agency countries.
The US is already in the grip of high inflation and soaring oil prices could make that worse.
US President Joe Biden, when asked about banning Russian oil and gas, said nothing is off the table.
