Hey there. This is going to be a vulnerable post for me. I will be posting it in other similar groups too. I’m 20 years old and have been homeless for over a year. No gov assistance(including snap literally nothing). I had a trip to the er last year now left with a partially paid bill still owning $600. I had a second expense of $3100(2500 still owned) of a synchrony/care credit card that I unfortunately couldn’t make the payment on since April. They have now closed my account even after speaking to them. I have no clue what to do next or how to contact anyone to pay it off now that it has dropped my credit score to a 627. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Anyone have experience with care credit?

    1. Just a heads up some states have limits on medical debt effecting your credit score. Some have limits while others outright ban it. So I would double check the state you have the ER debt in and not worry about it.

You should be able to call care credit and they can tell you how to pay it if. It may have already been sold to a collections agency which they will let you know. You should try and haggle them since they bought the debt for pennies on the dollar. /r/personalfinance would be better suited for this.
