I have the VX and like it well enough. pays for itself and the travel portal isn't the worst. C1 lounge is just a bonus perk I can maybe use once or twice a year.
Was previously very loyal to the CSP since I love my Hyatt card. But with devaluation, it's less compelling to me. the CSR is a hassle to recoup value and I'm not interested in playing that game. With the C1 setup, the CSP + CFU feels unnecessary considering the CSP AF
I also now have 100k miles on my VX to use to cover travel plus 80k miles from AAdvangage Platinum Select.
I booked this years vacation flights by transferring out Chase UR points to airline partner. I have 220k pts with Hyatt that I transferred out so I can book for next year's vacation before nerf takes effect.
So my plan now is to downgrade the CSP into a freedom. Then burn through all my miles and stuff. Then eventually get the CSR for the SUB before downgrading that one and pretty much leaving the Chase UR ecosystem in favor of C1 miles

Do you have the savor already? If not, watch out you might get a discover one.
If you only use Chase for Hyatt and truly think the devaluation is bad enough, then the C1 duo would definitely work better for you. Hyatt will still be the best for Hotel Redemptions though.
