Did some research and was going through the application process, and I reached the last page where they gave me my approved limit and a smaller limit that I could use immediately without waiting for the card to be delivered. I thought for a while and closed the page before hitting confirm because I wasn't sure if I went through the process for the $150 sign-on bonus or the one without – and did it a second time through the bonus link. This time however when I reached the end, it didn't give me the page I talked about earlier, and instead I just got a message saying "we will make a decision in 7-10 days and you will be notified by U.S. mail". Did I mess up here? I should have just gone ahead with the first one 🙁 I'm not sure what the response will be. It should at least be online rather than having to wait for a physical letter.

oof that’s rough situation. You probably triggered their duplicate application detection system when you applied second time. Most banks will auto-deny or put in review when they see multiple apps from same person in short period

The 7-10 days message usually means they’re doing manual review now instead of instant approval. Could go either way – they might approve one and deny the other, or just pick the most recent one. Some people had luck calling the reconsideration line to explain what happened, but not sure if Fidelity has one

Really should have just taken that first approval with immediate limit, bonus or no bonus. The difference in signup bonus probably not worth this headache you’re dealing with now
