I have other Citi cards, I'm not sure if I'll cancel or downgrade (or keep) the Elite. The booking would be after my anniversary date by a couple months. I'm wondering what typically happens to the reservation in cases like this.
(Strata Elite) what happens if I book a hotel for late this year using hotel credit, but cancel/downgrade before booking?

Your booking remains, though if you cancel or change it the credit is not refunded of course. Any charges you made would be refunded to the card, and you could then request a refund via check.
