Seen it before. The market will operate on hope and delusion until everything collapses. A blockade will have to run months to be effective. Hopefully Trump wants to TACO before then.

Markets can stay surprisingly stable as long as there’s even a hint of diplomatic progress, because expectations matter as much as fundamentals in the short term. But it does feel like a lot of this stability is built on optimistic assumptions…if talks stall or tensions rise again, that same hope could unwind pretty quickly and hit both oil and equities at once.
