I'm sure this is only the 400th time someone has asked some version of this question. But…here goes. I'm looking for some good clear guidance for by myself, and for my soldiers. My unit is going to be mobilized. I won't specify the timeline, but let's just say we've got plenty of time…
We're all reservists, which means we normally can't take advantage of all of the cool credit card gimmicks that the active folks can. So…needless to say, most of us aren't savvy on all the tricks. I'm hoping someone might be able to give me a good breakdown on the best ways to maximize this 12 month mob when it comes to credit cards and perks.
I hear things like being able to get signed up for the fee waived platinum cards and such while mobed works out and then they just keep waiving the fee afterward. But I don't really know details about how that works, which cards are best for this, and how much of what I've heard is even true.
I wouldn't be surprised if some high speed has already put together some sort of PPT or class on this. Something like that would be GREAT so I could present it to the unit. But all your best tips, tricks, and personal experience on this would be great insights. Maybe I can put something together.
Reservists getting mobilized… credit card advice?
