Hi looking for general info when it comes to AER, I'm currently deployed and supposed to leave tomorrow on emergency leave for the birth of my daughter. I was instructed by my command to apply for AER assistance as to not deal with the high cost for travel from our deployment region back to my homestate. The lady I spoke to said that in their policy emergency airfare travel for child birth was covered for soldiers deployed in EUCOM only. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue or has any further information on this policy regarding EUCOM soldiers only being covered for this type of emergency?
