Unsure what to do – loans to go to debt collector

I have about $27K in loans and I haven’t been making the payments and really messed up by ignoring them. I got a letter saying they are going to debt collectors but that was a couple months ago, it said I had 65 days to appeal etc and it’s been more than that. I really don’t know what to do and I’m so nervous.

Any help please.
