Is the hardship we’re going through in the US mostly just us or is it worldwide?

I’m 24 and I’m seeing first hand how nearly everybody my age is struggling in life right now economically. I’m mostly curious on how much of this is just in the US or if it’s worldwide, or maybe it’s worldwide but the US is getting the worst of it? Maybe even other countries are significantly hurting too? (Hurting at least in terms of the non rich rich people).
