Can anyone advise me on a way to minimise my losses?

I currently own stocks in Sofi, including Hong Kong and US holdings. I am considering transferring these assets to Interactive Brokers (IBKR), but the transfer fees are HKD720 for the Hong Kong stocks and USD2100 for the US stocks. Sofi has recommended selling my stocks before transferring. Should I follow their advice and sell, or retain my holdings? Additionally, I am curious about the experiences of other investors who have faced similar situations and what actions they took.
