Looking for advice: Occupancy is slated for my new condo in Toronto on April 30. It is an investment property and I plan on renting out the unit. I need to provide fire insurance to the lawyer for occupancy to be granted. Current insurance company is saying a tenant policy must be written and if the unit is rented out, under a tenant policy, that would be subletting which would not be covered. Any advice?
