I cancelled my Delta Amex Gold card today because I don't fly them enough anymore to make the $150 annual fee worth it.
My annual fee gets billed in the May cycle.
During the automated spiel after cancelling, the script said something about a "pro-rated fee refund" of $100.50.
The amount doesn't make much sense to me since I am 11 months into what I think my annual cycle is (although it would make sense if it was based on straight calendar year, since I'm cancelling about 1/3 or the way into the year).
Anyways, this refund, if I actually get it, does it show up as a credit on my account, and if so, can I then get them to send me a check? I currently have a zero balance and don't use the card.
Or will they just send me a check automatically?
Thanks…
