Are you OK with category spending or do you want a general spending card? I'm okay with category spending and opening more specialized cards if it saves money.

Hi everyone. I'm a college student with a summer internship in Austin. I'd like to travel to Rhode Island probably a handful of times throughout the summer, and after the summer will likely still be doing decent amounts of travelling. I am looking for card suggestions or just general flight strategy suggestions to save as much money as possible on these flights. They will be short round trips (3-4 days) so I do not need checked bags.

I already have the Sapphire Preferred as I have been abroad this semester in Australia, so the no international fee, travel rewards, 2x travel, and the 75,000pt welcome bonus has been nice.
