It's been more than 10 years since I first heard about blockchain. The promises were huge: transparent logistics, tokenizing businesses, reducing corruption, fair elections, elimination of intermediaries.
Instead we got NFTs of monkey pictures and 1000x memecoins.
Did smart contracts actually make it anywhere? Did blockchain reduce corruption in any country? Did it eliminate a single major intermediary?
My honest take: blockchain didn't revolutionize anything. It became a tool for speculation, not transformation. The technology had 10 years and billions in investment — where are the real use cases?
