AI Goes Goblin Mode — And Crypto Is Paying Attention
Over the last 24 hours, something weird (and very internet) has been happening in AI: models keep talking about goblins.
What started as a random quirk AI systems referencing goblins and gremlins quickly spiraled into a full-blown meme. Things escalated when people noticed some models were actually being told not to mention goblins… which, of course, only made everyone talk about them more.
From there, it spread fast. Screenshots, jokes, and “goblin mode AI” posts flooded X and Reddit, turning it into a mini viral trend overnight.
Naturally, crypto didn’t miss the moment.
Projects like $GOBLIN (0x696969A73cFE28165e94f0924D3c940A55BC483e) are starting to see more chatter as traders look to capitalize on the narrative. It’s a familiar pattern: when culture moves, crypto follows.
But as always, there’s a catch.
Hype can drive attention but not necessarily value. These meme-driven runs tend to be quick, chaotic, and highly volatile.
Still, for now, goblin mode is having its moment.
And in Web3, sometimes that’s all it takes.
