Should I arrange travel insurance for holiday next month?

Off on holiday to France next month. Flying from the UK. My wife is stressing incase our flight is cancelled – is there insurance that would cover us if the flight was cancelled after the free cancellation on the hotel ends? I've went through a few quotes but not sure they cover this specif example. It's literally a gap of 3 days so I know it's highly unlikely to occur.

Second question – we have tickets for the Grand Prix at Monaco. Would there be any insurance to cover those or just a case of sell them?

Very much absolute worst case scenarios here but my wife is a bit of a worrier!
