My friend travelled and left his car under my care I got into an accident about a week ago at an intersection, was turning left on green but got t boned by a car coming in the opposite direction. Airbags deployed on both cars and what people were saying on the scene was both cars are totalled. To even make the matters worse I didn’t have a valid license. I had a class 7 (learners) which was expired (Alberta,Canada) so I feel like that even makes things way worse. I got tickets for unsafe left turn, expired license & driving without supervision. I’ve been so down and depressed as I know this is pretty much the worst case scenario I could be in right now. I haven’t informed my friend yet cause he’s not in the country yet and busy with work for a project he’s been working on and I don’t want to mess that up for him. However, I’ve called insurance and gotten a claim number and adjuster. I’ve not been myself since the crash, I can’t keep it out of my head or stop thinking about it I just hope someone with any experience with this can tell me what would likely happen and how screwed I am in general. Btw both cars involved in the accident has valid insurance I just don’t know what the coverage is.
