Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice based on real experiences.
We are planning a 4-month trip to the United States and our group includes:
• One 69-year-old with diabetes and sciatica
• One 81-year-old with diabetes, hypertension, and COPD
Our main concerns are:
• Coverage for pre-existing conditions (especially complications or acute episodes)
• Access to hospitalization and a solid provider network in the U.S.
• Medical evacuation and repatriation in case of death
• Reliability when it comes to actually paying claims
We’ve been looking into options like INF Insurance, Allianz, GeoBlue, Seven Corners, and IMG.
For those who have dealt with similar situations, especially with seniors over 80:
• Which providers actually worked when it mattered?
• Any companies to avoid based on real claim experiences?
• Anything important we might be overlooking in the policy details?
Thanks in advance. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Best travel medical insurance for seniors (80+) with pre-existing conditions traveling to the USA for 4 months?
