Hey!
Flying for the first time to the States (Seattle, Washington) and want to rent a car. I see that the rental company sells Liability insurance for up to 500K. It's my first time in the States, and I don't really understand the insurance rules here, and I am a little worried.
Is 500K liability insurance considered "enough"? or should I look for more? I found 3rd party insurance that costs like 20usd/day and covers up to 1M, but I am wondering whether I need it or not.
My fear is that I will cause an accident, and then the damage will be much more serious than 500k, and I will not be able to pay that (ChatGPT scares me that 1M damage is very easy to reach in the USA)
So, is it ok? Should I get more? Am I overthinking?
Rented car liability insurance, 500k is good?
