I was just wondering if there's any systematic campaign right now to try and bring awareness of the issues around overseas repayments for UK student loans/any campaigns to change the system?

I've lived in the US for 6 years and started repaying my student loans a few months ago (I have Plan 2 and Postgrad). I live in a VHCOL area and pay 50% of my take home pay in rent and 30% in student loans repayments….this is not sustainable. From reading online I am not the only one that is facing serious hardships in trying to repay the loans.

I recently wrote to my MP back in the UK and he replied back with his party's talking points around student loans but it was all about UK-based people and repayments, when my questions and issues were around overseas repayments…. I plan to write again, but I was wondering if anybody else had also reached out to their MPs or had started any sort of campaign?

I don't want to just keep complaining about how unfair it is that I can barely get by when I supposedly have a great salary. Even if there's a low likelihood of change I do think we need to do something rather than just complain.

I know there's been a lot of chatter in the UK about Student Loans lately, but it's felt like the whole issue of overseas repayment thresholds have been missing from the conversation.
