Quick summary. I rear ended somebody at maybe 5mph in a merge lane looking over my shoulder to check for oncoming traffic and the vehicle in front never pulled out… it just dinged their back bumper and busted my front grill and a little bit of my hood. No air bags deployed. Well we pulled off to the side and the older guy was saying his back is hurting and had an ambulance fire department and police show up. I have full coverage but max bodily injury is 25k. I’m actually stressing out and losing sleep thinking I’ll be sued if it goes over that amount. Does anybody have advice or previous experience in something like this?
