MOHELA- PAYE income recertification

So my due date to recertify is 7/2/2026 and at the end of March, MOHELA sent me a 95 day advance notice to recertify and gave me the wrong due date 5/28. In April, I submitted my info because truly I had no idea how long it would take to process and didn’t want to risk cutting it close and missing the deadline.

Of course my payment went up and instead of the new payment amount taking into 7/2/26, it’s going into effect 6/2/2026. In their correspondence, it literally says “to maximize your current payment period under your PAYE plan, your request will be held and processed prior to our recertification deadline of (wrong date)

It just feels so shady they would change my plan dates like that. MOHELA agent I spoke to was pretty much like “it’s approved so can’t do anything about it.” Sounds like I’m S.O.L but this sucks
