Citi Double Cash after Custom Cash?

I know citi likes to see zero new cards on your account for about 6 months typically, but does this also apply for their own cards? I got the custom cash in march, and was hoping to also get the double cash. I'm aware that you can only get 2 citi cards within 65 days, but that's obviously not a problem. Should I apply for this? Or wait the entire 6 months? Any advice would be helpful, hoping to not have to wait the whole 6 months and then 12 months to get a second custom cash.

Before anyone asks I've already checked the preapproval tool and I am not preapproved unfortunately.
