I genuinely don’t understand why perpetuals became the dominant product in crypto while options never really took off.
Even when US equities started coming on-chain, most projects still focused on perps.
But if we’re talking about real capital eventually flowing on-chain from traditional finance, wouldn’t options logically become one of the biggest products? Options are massively dominant in traditional markets compared to futures.
So I ended up building an on-chain options platform myself to explore the idea.
I'm starting with $TSLA options first, and I’m also considering adding Korean equities that have been getting a lot of global attention lately.
Curious what you guys think,
-
Why do you think on-chain options haven’t exploded yet?
-
And what would actually make you use an on-chain options platform instead of just sticking to Robinhood?
Am I crazy or are on-chain options massively underrated?
