This is my guide to the best bitcoin wallets of 2019. Of course, the best bitcoin wallets are totally based on opinion, but with that said, these are my favorite bitcoin wallets.

In this video, we discuss the differences between a Hot Wallet and a Cold Storage Wallet. How I use both of these type of bitcoin wallets and what they are good for.

Hot Wallets are higher risk bitcon wallets because they are connected to the internet and with that you are more at risk to hacking, malware and viruses. Bitcoin hot wallet examples are Website Wallets, Mobile Wallet Apps for iPhone or Android, and Desktop Wallets.

Cold Storage Wallets are not connected to the internet. The most common Cold Storage Bitcon Wallets are Hardware wallets like Ledger Nano and Trezor which I have listed link to below. Also included in this category of wallets is Paper Wallets, which is a wallet on a piece of paper which does have it’s own risks.

I would recommend using Bitcoin Hot Wallets for every day transactions, I typically will only hold up to $1000 on a hot wallet. For more than $1000, I would recommend using a Bitcoin Cold Storage Wallet which is not connected to the internet.
