I’m 29F, based on the west coast of the U.S. who just moved out on her parents’ (again) and I would like some advice on how I can save my money or use it wisely. Here’s a breakdown of my finances:
Salary: $61,500
Additional side gig: $80 bi-weekly
401k: 20% Roth, about $473 per paycheck, $82k saved
Take home pay bi-weekly: $1,290
Monthly income: $2,580
Rent: $750
Gas: $60-70 every other week (hate it here)
Student debt payment: $366 a month (should be paid off by June 2027)
Car payment: $500 (I’m paying my dad and may renegotiate this)
Food/groceries: $60-$80 every week
Misc: $50-$100 a month
Do my finances look ok, how much additional can I add into my 401k, is there anything I should change, and how much should I realistically be saving?
Thank you!
How can I use/save my money better?
