China and moved to Canada at a young age with his family.
Zhao was previously a member of the team that developed Blockchain.info and also served as chief technology officer of OKCoin.
According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Zhao is ranked 113th richest in the world with a net worth estimated at $14.9 billion as of May 2022.
