美-이란 갈등에 유가•환율 상승

    Oil prices jumped more than two percent on Monday amid escalating tensions between the U.S. and Iran.
    The global benchmark Brent crude surpassed 70 U.S. dollars a barrel, after President Trump reiterated threats of retaliation should Iran “do anything.
    He also vowed sanctions if the country moves to expel American troops, raising concerns of a widening Middle East conflict that could disrupt oil supplies.
    West Texas Intermediate crude surged to an eight-month high of 64 dollars a barrel.
    The gains extended its three percent surge on Friday after the assassination of the top Iranian General.
    Meanwhile the Korean won weakened slightly against the greenback.
