Global oil prices drop sharply as worry over Iran attacks fades

국제유가 ‘미-이란 위기 완화’에 급락…WTI 4.9%↓

And, oil prices plunged the most in three months, erasing a rally that followed the U.S. killing of a top Iranian general… after U.S. President Trump downplayed the impact of Iran’s attacks on U.S. military bases in Iraq.
Global benchmark Brent crude in London briefly hit a three-month high of almost 72 dollars a barrel immediately after Tuesday’s attack, but by the end of trading on Wednesday, it was down four-point-one percent to settle at 65-dollars and 44-cents a barrel.
The West Texas Intermediate also dropped 4-point-9 percent to 59-61 a barrel… in response to signs that tensions are diminishing in the Middle East.
While oil flows from the Middle East continue unimpeded for now, analysts say fears do persist about the risk to exports from the region… which accounts for almost a third of global supplies.
